The ATEX DTS range of drive-through scales is designed and manufactured in Leicester by MWS. To begin with, a low-profile weighing deck is incorporated as the primary feature, allowing easier and safer loading by operators. As a result, the unit is enabled to handle loads of up to 2000 kg while still being maintained at a height of less than 50 mm.
Furthermore, the ATEX DTS is constructed from 304-grade stainless steel, with 316L being made available upon request. The scale is intended for use in environments where moisture is abundant. In addition, IP68 load cells and a junction box are supplied as standard, ensuring that the ATEX DTS is regarded as a fully waterproof floor scale suitable for the demanding conditions of the food and chemical industries.
Moreover, a glass bead-blasted finish is applied to both the top and bottom surfaces, producing a hygienic surface suitable for most applications. However, a grained or electro-polished finish can be provided upon request in order to further improve the overall surface quality.
The ATEX DTS scale is rated to Zone 1/21 and Zone 2/22. The units are supplied with Flintec ATEX / IECEx rated load cells, a stainless steel Intrinsically safe Junction box and Intrinsically safe cable. This model can be supplied with a range of our ATEX weight indicators or load cell amplifiers via Zener Barriers
