MWS Weighing Solutions is looking for a Field Based Service Engineer to join our growing midlands service team. You will have an enviable position in the industry working for one of the UK’s largest independent manufacturers who offer a broad range of weighing products and services.

The role will require you to have excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus a reasonable level of knowledge in industrial and laboratory weighing equipment.

Core duties include but are not limited to:
• Routine calibration and maintenance visits
• Working to ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 (UKAS) standards
• Attending breakdowns and making onsite repairs
• Installations and commissioning of new equipment

Experience/Qualifications:

We require a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a field service engineer within the weighing industry. Experience of system installations, vessel weighing, weighbridges and working in ATEX / hazardous areas, UKAS calibration experience is preferable but not essential to your success in gaining employment as training will be required.

A keen interest in expanding your abilities and knowledge base into new developments within the industry is highly desirable.

We would also like you to have a minimum of a City & Guilds / ONC qualification in Electrical Engineering, however this is not paramount as experience is key in our industry.

A clean and current driving licence is essential as this role can see travel of up to 24,000 miles per annum.
