Ben & Jerry’s Debuts Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich

Ben & Jerry’s is expanding its United Kingdom line-up with the launch of a new Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich, marking the brand’s move into a fresh format designed for an increasingly snack-led freezer aisle.

A new format for a growing snacking trend

The launch sees the ice cream giant step beyond tubs as it targets a rising appetite for “snacking ice cream” – a segment expected to grow by as much as 6.7% over the next three years.

Rather than asking fans to grab a spoon, the sandwich format is positioned as an easy, handheld treat that fits everything from a quick sweet bite at home to an on-the-go indulgence.

What’s inside the Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich

Each unit features two soft vanilla-and-cocoa swirled cookies wrapped around vanilla ice cream packed with chunks of cookie dough – leaning hard into the brand’s best-known flavour profile, but with a more portable twist.

In keeping with Ben & Jerry’s ingredient credentials, the company says the product is made using Fairtrade Certified sugar, vanilla, and cocoa, as well as eggs from free range hens.

Pack formats, pricing, and where to buy

The new product is launching in both single and multi-pack options. The Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich Pack (68ml x 4) is set to be stocked in Asda and Morrisons from January 2026, with an RRP of £5.

A larger single Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich (120ml) will also be available nationwide, with an RRP of £2.50.

Building on a run of new product development

This latest NPD has landed shortly after the brand introduced two new SKUs inspired by bakery treats – Ben & Jerry’s Churrifically Churros-y and Ben & Jerry’s Strawberry Doughnut-eee – launched last month.

Together, the releases suggest a clear direction of travel: familiar dessert cues, bold flavour names, and formats that make indulgence feel more “snackable” than occasion-based.

Conclusion

With the Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich, Ben & Jerry’s is taking one of its most-loved flavours and repackaging it for the way many shoppers now browse the freezer – looking for quick, handheld treats as much as shareable tubs.

Backed by Fairtrade ingredients, free range eggs, and a clear retail roll-out across Asda, Morrisons, and nationwide listings, the launch positions the brand to ride the projected growth of snacking ice cream while giving fans yet another way to reach for Cookie Dough.
