Micro Weighing Solutions Wins Product Innovation of the Year at Made in the Midlands Awards 2026
Leicester, Durham, 24 April 2026: Micro Weighing Solutions (MWS), the independent UK manufacturer of industrial weighing equipment and calibration services, has been named Product Innovation of the Year at the Made in the Midlands Awards 2026, held on 23 April in Birmingham.
MWS was recognised for its UKAS-accredited vehicle weigh pad calibration service, the first of its kind in the UK to be explicitly aligned with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Consolidated Code of Practice. Developed and launched within the last 12 months, the service delivers a regulated, traceable and auditable calibration process suitable for compliance and enforcement use.
The judges highlighted MWS’s proactive response to regulatory change, noting that the company identified a clear gap in the market following updates to DVSA and Vehicle Certification Agency requirements. By investing early in a technically robust and UKAS-authorised solution, MWS has set a new benchmark for vehicle weigh pad calibration in the UK.
