Quorn Expands Its Deli Range with Two New Flavours

Meat alternative pioneer Quorn is setting the table for even more plant-based innovation, announcing the launch of two new deli slice flavours.

From 28 April, shoppers at Tesco will be the first to experience the new Quorn Tomato & Basil and Quorn Garlic & Herb Deli Slices, with Sainsbury’s set to follow from 7 May and Asda joining on 19 May.

Building on the success of the much-loved Quorn Spinach & Red Pepper Deli Slices – a standout product known for its loyal fanbase and unique draw for new meat-free consumers – the new offerings promise to bring even more variety and flavour to supermarket deli counters.

Notably, the Spinach & Red Pepper variety is currently the only deli SKU on the market to feature vegetables, highlighting Quorn’s flair for combining health with taste.

Quorn Tomato & Basil Deli Slices (RRP £2.60, 100g) deliver a vibrant medley of sweet, tangy ripe tomato paired with aromatic basil, creating a bright, Mediterranean-inspired option for lunchtime fare.

Meanwhile, Quorn Garlic & Herb Deli Slices (also RRP £2.60, 100g) tap into a top taste trend, offering a bold fusion of sharp garlic, a fragrant blend of herbs, and a refreshing hint of lemon to round off the profile.

According to the head of brands at Quorn Foods, the existing Spinach & Red Pepper Deli Slices have quietly become the company’s secret superhero, driving both shopper loyalty and frequency. Strikingly, more than a quarter of buyers enter the meat-free category specifically for this product – a testament to its magnetic appeal.

Therefore, by introducing not just one but two new flavours, Quorn aims to further deepen category penetration and unlock new opportunities for retailers eager to capitalise on the booming plant-based market.

The brand lead also added that with deli being a high-frequency category and nearly six billion sandwich occasions annually in the United Kingdom, they are confident that the addition of Quorn Tomato & Basil and Quorn Garlic & Herb Deli Slices will only strengthen their offering. They want to keep inspiring sandwich fans to come back for more.

Beyond their mouth-watering flavour profiles, Quorn’s new deli slices continue the brand’s commitment to nutrition: each variety is high in protein, low in saturated fat, and rich in fibre. Highly versatile, they are positioned as the perfect centrepiece not just for sandwiches, but also wraps, salads, and a range of other easy, delicious meals.

In conclusion

Quorn’s latest deli range expansion is a carefully crafted move designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s consumer.

With vibrant new flavours, strong nutritional credentials, and an eye firmly on growing the plant-based category, Quorn is giving shoppers even more reasons to say yes to meat-free – and ensuring that deli counters nationwide are bursting with fresh, irresistible choices.
