Fry’s Family Food Partners with Aardman Animations and Netflix

In a groundbreaking collaboration, the award-winning plant-based brand Fry’s Family Food has joined forces with animation giants Aardman Animations and streaming giant Netflix to mark the highly anticipated release of “Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget” with a special launch: an exclusive plant-based breaded nugget.

Just in time for Veganuary, Fry’s latest offering will be available at Tesco, Iceland, The Food Warehouse, and select Spar stores. As with all Fry’s products, these new nuggets are 100% vegan, composed of a blend of non-GM soy, wheat, and pea protein, and coated in a delectably crispy golden crumb.

The Head of Marketing at Fry’s and LIVEKINDLY Collective in the UK expressed immense excitement about collaborating with iconic brands like Netflix and Aardman. They believe that introducing this exciting collaboration to the meat-free aisle will captivate even more consumers, encouraging them to try plant-based options this Veganuary and beyond.

What’s more, the timing couldn’t be more perfect, coinciding with family movie moments while watching the film, making it an ideal addition to any household.

Furthermore, Fry’s hopes that this collaboration will motivate families nationwide to explore plant-based options for the first time or consider swapping out more of their meals. The Marketing Director at Aardman expressed delight at partnering with Fry’s to celebrate the Netflix release of Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.

They are thrilled to have found in Fry’s a family-oriented brand for this plant-based nugget, destined to become a favourite during family movie nights.

Fry’s new plant-based nuggets are set to hit the shelves of the mentioned stores nationwide starting on December 26th, with a recommended retail price of £3.00 for 320g, which is said to feed 4.

To sweeten the deal further, these nuggets will be available at half price until January 15th at Tesco, Iceland, and The Food Warehouse as part of an extensive Veganuary campaign. Veganuary is an annual challenge hosted by a UK non profit organisation that encourages individuals to adopt a plant-based diet for the month of January.

The communications manager at Veganuary emphasised that families are increasingly discussing their dietary choices, and this collaboration between Fry’s and the movie Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget during Veganuary will bring even more awareness to the numerous benefits of choosing plant-based options.

What’s more, they feel that it will demonstrate to families and parents that delicious choices like Fry’s nuggets make transitioning to a plant-based diet easier than ever.

Fry’s Family Foods has a rich history dating back to 1991 when Wally and Debbie Fry began crafting meatless burgers and sausages in their own kitchen. Debbie, a lifelong vegetarian, and Wally, a former avid meat eater, transformed their diets after meeting.

Today, Fry’s extensive range of vegan products is available worldwide, making plant-based living not only healthier for individuals but also for the planet. In 2020, The Fry Family Food Co. joined forces with LIVEKINDLY Collective to drive a global movement toward a sustainable future by making plant-based living the new norm.

It’s worth noting that the Fry family continues to play an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the business, contributing innovative product ideas tailored to busy family lives.

This underscores that Fry’s remains a true family business. To top it off, Fry’s range of vegan foods received recognition, winning the Best Vegan Meat category in the VegFest Awards in the UK in 2020 and again in 2021.

As part of their commitment to sustainability, Fry’s is also launching a limited-edition eco-friendly packaging for their new nuggets. This innovative packaging is made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable, aligning with Fry’s dedication to reducing their environmental footprint.

In a landmark collaboration, Fry’s Family Food has partnered with Aardman Animations and Netflix to introduce an exclusive plant-based nugget just in time for Veganuary. Available at major retailers, these 100% vegan nuggets offer a delicious and sustainable alternative for families across the United Kingdom

This initiative not only celebrates the release of Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget but also aims to inspire families to embrace plant-based options while enjoying their favourite films. Fry’s Family Food continues to lead the way in the plant-based food industry, demonstrating that it’s not just a brand but a family’s commitment to making plant-based living accessible, enjoyable, and award-winning.

So finally, with exciting online campaigns and eco-friendly packaging, Fry’s sets a new standard for both taste and sustainability in the plant-based food industry.
