By uniting IFF’s vast knowledge of the industry and the startup’s pioneering mycelial fermentation platform, this partnership intends to generate innovative solutions for food and drink brands.
After the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) declared FermentIQ pea and rice protein fermented by shiitake mushroom mycelia to be safe for a variety of food and beverage categories, authorization was granted from the EU.
MycoTechnology’s recent Series E Fundraise, raising a substantial $85m to support the development and spread of its technology, will serve as an essential foundation for their European expansion.
