The GLP is a below ground pit mounted stainless steel scale that is designed and manufactured in Leicester by MWS, its main feature is a gas strut assisted top deck making routine cleansing in high risk areas easier and safer loading by operators due to being flush with the existing floor structure.
The GLP range is manufactured using 304 grade stainless steel (316L available upon request) box section and high end welding techniques the GLP is free from hidden crevices and holes that allow moisture to build up harbouring bacteria and parasites. The gas-assisted plate is hinged on one side and is safely operated by a single user. Fitted with IP68 load cells and junction box as standard guarantying that the GLP is a truly waterproof floor scale even washed down with a high pressure – high temperature jet wash.
A glass bead blast top and bottom is used to finish which gives an acceptable hygiene level for a majority of applications, however upon request a grained or electro polish finish can requested to improve the surface finish further.
The GLP can be specified for use in areas where forklift trucks operate, extra steel is incorporated to strengthen the platform further and higher capacity load cells used to prevent damage caused by overloading.
